KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) The veterans are part of a Heartland Honor Flight, a nonprofit organization which takes veterans to the nation's capital, where they visit and reflect at memorials of the wars they fought in.The veterans are transported by chartered plane at no cost to them.
